Accessibility Statement

Last updated: February 24, 2026

Our Commitment

SnagPulse is committed to making our website and content accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Scope

This accessibility statement applies to snagpulse.com and all subdomains.

Accessibility Features

SnagPulse includes the following accessibility features:

  • Skip navigation link to bypass repeated navigation and jump directly to main content.
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements including menus, search, filters, votes, and theme toggle.
  • Focus trapping in overlays (search, mobile menu, filter panel, cookie consent) so keyboard users don't get lost behind modal content.
  • Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements when navigating by keyboard.
  • Scroll margin to prevent focused elements from being hidden behind the sticky header.
  • Dark and light mode with WCAG AA-compliant color contrast in both themes.
  • ARIA labels and roles on all interactive elements, including score rings (role="img"), navigation landmarks, form controls, and status badges.
  • Screen reader optimized price display with visually hidden text that reads the full price context (e.g., "Original price $99.99, now $49.99, 50% off").
  • Alt text on all meaningful images.
  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and lists.
  • Responsive design that works on all screen sizes without horizontal scrolling.
  • Reduced motion support via prefers-reduced-motion media query.

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations:

  • Ghost Portal overlay: The Ghost CMS membership signup portal is a third-party component whose internal accessibility is managed by Ghost. We have hidden the default floating action button and use our own accessible signup forms instead.
  • Third-party embeds: Content embedded from third-party services (YouTube videos, retailer widgets) may not meet the same accessibility standards as our own content.
  • PDF documents: Any PDF documents linked from our site may not be fully accessible. We aim to provide HTML alternatives where possible.
